Logo Design Project

RideLocal was a locally operated rideshare startup created to offer a more affordable, community-focused alternative to national services like Uber and Lyft. As the founder and designer, I developed the brand identity from the ground up — beginning with this bold and expressive logo.

The energetic, hand-drawn style of the wordmark gives RideLocal a grassroots, approachable personality, echoing the platform’s mission to serve real people in real neighborhoods. The deep blue tones represent trust, dependability, and technology, while the playful brush-texture evokes motion and energy.

Though the business ultimately shut down due to limited market adoption, the visual branding remains a standout example of combining purpose-driven messaging with high-impact design — capturing the spirit of a startup that dared to challenge the status quo.
